I’m currently just finishing my first year as a social work student at University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland, as part of the Professional Masters in Social Work. I decided to become a social worker for many reasons. I’ve worked for over 15 years in social care with homeless people in Dublin. I love working with and helping people. I believe the world is a better place as long as we have kindness.
I chose Gnomeo because …

it has sentimental value to me, in that I’ve had it since I was seven years old. It was given to me by another boy in my class. To me it represents kindness. Kindness from one human being to another and it reminds me that we should always treat people with kindness. ‘Gnomeo’ has been with me throughout my educational journey and is my social work mascot who will be there with me to spread kindness throughout my social work career.
